and we're back!

I'm back! and in more ways than one.  We (like pretty much every single person in this country) went out of town for Christmas and visited family.  A week before Christmas we totally changed up our plans (go to a cabin in the mountains of Southern California) and somehow found someone to watch our dog and booked tickets to fly to the the COLD...the bitter freezing cold...and snow....and most importantly our families.  All it took was a phone call to Mr. Prib's family for us to realize "what were we THINKING when we said we wouldn't go home for Christmas?!"    so, we did that for 10 days and came back last week (last week?  it feels like eternity since we got back)

While in PA, I discovered a LOVE I have for a grocery store out there....American Eagle...err, wait, no...GIANT Eagle.  That's right.  Get out of my head 13 year old Joy.  Giant Eagle reminds me of Publix (which was my GO TO store in Alabama).  Atmosphere, products, giant soda machine....pretty much everything you need to have an enjoyable grocery shopping trip.  Why doesn't California have any American Giant Eagles or Publix-es??  Ugghhh.  California, you have great weather, but you're lacking in the department of grocery stores.

I've started my 2014 Project life....AKA, I took all of the front page inserts and put them in their pockets.  Now I need to take and print off pictures.   Ok, who am I kidding, I take pictures just need to gather up the strength to ORDER the pictures.  Getting my fingers to click and upload and order those pictures is one of the hardest things I have to do in life.  Why?

We've been quite the movie-goers lately.  The Hobbit - YES.  The Secret Life of Walter Mitty - BINGO!  Saving Mr. Banks - YES, but not as much as the other two.

Also, for the first time since I started working for myself (that sounds weird), I worked REMOTELY and took my laptop to Starbucks.  I went early (for me), around 7:30am and sat by the window.....bad choice.  For the majority of the time I was FUH-reezzing.  Lesson learned, I'll either dress warmer or avoid sitting near anything that resembles the cold outdoors.

Speaking of New Years resolutions....I've been running lately.  Actually, that is a lie.  When I say "lately", that makes it sound like I've been running for a few weeks.  I've actually only run twice since I finished Boot Camp back in October 2012.  But those two times were within this past week.  1.6 miles each.  That's 3-ish miles this week BABY.  Both times Cooper went with me.  The first time I was dragging Cooper.  The second time Cooper was dragging me.  So, I guess it's my turn next time to drag him along.

I ordered a day planner this morning.  I'm STOKED.  I am going to scribble all over that thing and stay on top of my life, unlike last year.  We missed paying rent on time this month (who does that?).  Talk about humiliating and ...shocking.  Never again.  Never again.

Anyway, back to the title of being "back".  I neglected this blog for two reasons.  My hosting subscription ended and I didn't want to pony up the money to pay for another year, especially with being so busy with my business, I never had time to blog.  So this is my solution.  I moved my blog and am doing this for free for now.  Yes, it means that I lose 90% of the pictures in my old posts, but that's ok, because it's the words that matter anyway.
