Film (35mm)

Friday, January 16, 2015

I took our film camera out over Christmas and shot two rolls of 35mm film over the course of a week.  I had no idea what I was doing.  I simply put everything on "Auto" and hoped for the best.

The best thing about film is the depth of field and realness of each picture.  We don't notice depth of field in real life as much because we're too busy moving and living our lives.  But in a picture, it's hard to miss.

These pictures aren't perfect, but I wasn't going for perfect.  I was going for authentic and real.  My two favorite are the one of Silas napping in his swing and Rob holding the car carrier.
