Catching upSunday, November 15, 2015
Well, I, for one, have a lot of catching up to do. Silas turned one and suddenly life ran away from me. Not really, but in terms of keeping up with this blog, it did.
Friday night we had taco night with about 5 of Rob's friends from high school. It was fun, but I realized that I am an old lady because at about 8:30pm I looked at the clock and wondered when everyone would be leaving because right about then the idea of lying in a warm bed sounded really good to me. About an hour later I was able to make that dream come true.
Our house currently looks like Toys R Us exploded in it. Toys. Everywhere. We made a trip to IKEA yesterday to buy a shelf to house all of the toys in an unused closet. Why do toddlers throw their toys everywhere? Why?
The weather IS getting colder. I am currently writing this from my iPad sitting in front of our fireplace. We are going to get a lot of use out of this fireplace. I spent every morning this past week in the living room with the fireplace on. I think my favorite word right now is FIREPLACE. I am hopeful for winter and staying warm in our house this year.
With that being said, today's weather was pretty mild and I took some pictures for a local Pittsburgh family. The sunlight was perfect.
Business is steady. Usually in October things slow down quite a bit. My weeks have been pretty consistent lately. I have managed to get quite a bit of work done during Silas naps and while he is at the babysitter's on Mondays and Wednesdays.
This week we have "Friendsgiving". That's right. We get to have TWO thanksgiving meals this year. It's pretty awesome. I'll be bringing my favorite Sweet Potato biscuits. I made these for our Friendsgiving get-together when we lived in Alabama and they were a hit. I have no doubts that they'll impress this year's guests as well.
Well that's all for now. I will be checking in later this week with some project life updates and throw back thursdays and more random thoughts and pictures. That's what this blog is all about afterall: Random thoughts and pictures.
