Maybe it's because I'm not stuck on the couch this year.

Maybe it's because Winter wasn't as harsh this year.

Maybe it's because I'm seeing Winter fresh through the eyes of a 15 month old this year.

Whatever the reason, Winter this year has not been as terrible as I expected it to be.  After walking 2 miles almost every morning during Summer, I was a little concerned that I may go stir-crazy once it got too cold.  There's no way you'll ever find me taking a leisurely walk when it's below 50 degrees outside.

Thankfully I discovered the mall play area right as it was getting cold out.  Silas loves that place.

Also, this year we have a functional fireplace in our house, so that makes things a lot less cold.

We replaced most of our windows, which adds to the warmth.

Running errands has always been a favorite thing of mine to do, but during the Wintertime, it's almost necessary.  We're out of Milk?  TO THE STORE WE GO.  I have the urge to knit a scarf?  MICHAELS IS ONLY 15 MINUTES AWAY.

Especially since Silas is older and able to react to things, I view running errands as a learning experience and just a lot of fun.

But let's be honest.  Spring is right around the corner.  And we are all ready for it to get here.
