Hidden away in LUMPKIN, Georgia is a place called Providence Canyon (PC). It also goes by the nickname of “The Little Grand Canyon”. I’ve never been to the Grand Canyon, but I’ve seen pictures and that’s exactly what this place looked like – a mini version of the Grand Canyon. In May we took a weekend trip with some friends from Fort Rucker to visit PC. There were several trails to hike on and several places to look out on the canyon. It was breathtaking. Cooper came along for the trip and was afraid to get too close to the edge of the cliffs. Once you get down into the canyons, a lot of the walls are falling apart and crumble under your feet. That didn’t stop us from climbing all over the walls. It is much easier to go up than it is to get down though. Cooper was a trooper and climbed with us on every single wall, no matter how steep and crumbly it was.
In the evenings we spent time in a nearby town (Eufala, AL). We visited an antique store we and found an awesome Pictionary game (with all of the original pieces!) for cheap, so we bought it!
We had so much fun in Eufala that Mr. Pribs and I are taking another weekend trip there before we leave Alabama.
